Witchcraft And World-View.

Witchcraft!

Historically the witchcraft label has been applied to practices people believe influence the mind, body, or property of others against their will. Call it hypnosis, call it whatever you will, but every . attempt to adjust or control the mind of another, is essentially . a form of witchcraft. By moulding world-views, the modern-day sorcerer creates the perception, manipulates and defines the perceived reality.

He creates the structure for self-organizing transformation. He believes no meta-narratives but orchestrates them for others .He is an opportunistic paradigm-shifter, shape-shifter, chameleon, trickster–—Iona Miller.

Numbers in the Bible each have a spiritual significance, 6 being representative of the evils of Satan and sinful man. 7 is the great spiritual number of perfection, and 13 is symbolic of lawlessness and rebellion. The word ”witchcraft” appears a total of 7 times in 6 verses, and therefore represents the opposition between sinful man and a Holy God. 6+7=13, the spirit of rebellion and lawlessness. And of course the number 13 is of great importance in witchcraft.

”Rebellion,” says God, ”is as the sin of witchcraft.” (1Samuel 15:23.) Noah’s son Ham was profane. His grandson Nimrod (Gilgamesh)was the 13th generation from Adam, and he of course, was a tyrant, and ”began to be a mighty one” in the earth. (Genesis 10:8 ).

Genesis 14:4. Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

It is no coincidence that rebellion occurred in the 13th year, any more than chapter and verse numbers are a coincidence. 14+4=18, which is 3×6, and we all know what 3 sixes represents.

Witchcraft is the force that rules the world on the human level. The Satanic black magicians pull the strings, not politicians, corporate bosses, military heads, intelligence chiefs or even international bankers, although they also hold many of those roles.

The Illuminati elite fulfil a clandestine role disguised by  a more respectable public role. While many Satanic black magicians are also businessmen, politicians, and bankers, their true ruling power comes from honouring Satan, the usurper god of this world. . Satanic practises, such as ritualistic child abuse, and the use of black magic, is the network they incorporate to support and empower their secular roles in society.

It is also black magic that is behind the unspeakable phenomenon of missing children. Some of these children are being deliberately kidnapped and taken down into elite controlled underground facilities where they are mind controlled, turned into slaves and where some of them are even sacrificed at Satanic rituals.

If that is too difficult to believe, take a long deep breath and listen to the highly disturbing testimonies of various mind control victims, researchers, Illuminati defectors or ET contactees, such as Cathy O’Brien, ”Mary Anne,” Svali, ”Alex Collier,”and many others.

Biblical World-view.

When speaking of ”the world” the Bible is not referring to the earth, or the planet we live ON, but to humanity, and the duration of the habitable age that we live IN. This present world is the world which, amazingly, God so loved. (John 3:16.) It began with Adam, and will end at the 2nd coming of Christ.

One way of understanding the “world” which I’ve personally found to be helpful, is to imagine it as an extremely long and permanently sealed cylinder, with one single entry point at one end, and one single exit point at the other.

With no say in the matter whatsoever, each of us are literally and physically forced into the cylinder via the portal of the womb. When the mother’s waters break, a series of contractions ensures that all men who arrive into the world are once-born of water, and although born innocent, all are destined to sin and to die.

We will go into more detail later, but we are each here under judgement, and all once-born men are subject to death from the moment of birth, and hence are born subject to the god of this world who holds ‘the power of death.’ In other words, this world into which we were born could rightly and literally be classed as a .terminal prison, a death-camp, and humanity are its prisoners.

Although . constantly faced with choices, we have no other choice but to be carried by time as we pass through the cylinder, until finally we arrive at the exit. With no say in the matter whatsoever, each of us leave the cylinder via the portal of death.

According to the Bible, the true rulers of the spiritual darkness of this ‘cylinder’ or . world, . are the” high ones on high”, known as the principalities and powers. (Ephesians 6:12. ) Along with a legion of lesser entities known as devils or demons, they operate under the leadership of Satan, who is called the god of this world, (2 Corinthians 4:4 ) and it is he who holds the power of death. (Hebrews 2:14 ).

On a human level, the world is governed by ”the kings of the earth,” who are often the basest of men. (Daniel 4:17.)

This world is run by paedophiles, Satanists, mass-murderers and fraudsters. We can only make sense of the true reality of the world that we live in, when we start to recognize that the kings of the earth who acknowledge the ”high ones” as gods, or the Ascended Masters as benevolent extra-terrestrials,, are actually working on their behalf for both have the same agenda. A One World Government, at the expense of the slaughter of billions. A mass human blood sacrifice.

The . greatest deception of all time, is that man is not sinful but inherently good, and hence does not need a Saviour. For all you ”truth-seekers” out there, I ask this question. How can something which is inherently ”good” possibly be subject to something as wicked as death?

No man by natural birth (of water) has ever been born into the kingdom of God, but into the darkness of the kingdom of the god who holds the power of death.

Ever wonder why Jesus said; ”Ye MUST be born again?” Not of water, and delivered into the world once more, but this time, to be born of the Spirit of God, and delivered OUT of the world.

I am the only way to the Father, said Jesus, (John 14:6).and the Father judges no man. (John 5:22.)

The Day of Christ.

There is one specific and remarkable day recorded in Scripture known as the ‘day of Christ,’ aka the ‘day of Jesus Christ’ ( Philippians 1:6) aka the ‘day of our Lord Jesus Christ’ (1Corinthians 1:8), or the ‘day of the Lord Jesus’ ( 2 Corinthians 1:14).

This day, which is generally known as ”the rapture”, should not be confused with the second coming of Christ, for at that time he will not come with the name Jesus, but will come as ”the Word of God”, and with a name unknown to man.

Revelation 19:12-13. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Some claim the rapture only occurs after the tribulation period, but it cannot take place after the entire seven years, because one of the reasons for it’s timing, is to spare believers from the ” the wrath to come.” For that one reason alone, the rapture cannot be post-tribulation.

1 Thessalonians 1:10. And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Sometimes it is difficult to determine whether a scripture verse is referring to the rapture or the second coming. However, in studying end-times Bible prophecy, it is very important to differentiate between the two.

At the rapture, believers meet the Lord in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:17). At the second coming, believers return with the Lord to the earth (Revelation 19:4).

The rapture will be secret and instant (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The second coming will be visible to all (Revelation 1:7; Matthew 24:29-30).

The rapture will be accompanied by ”the trump of God” (1 Thessalonians 4:16 ) or ”the last trump” (1 Corinthians 15:52 ). But . this should not be mistaken for . the last of the seven trumpet judgements recorded in the Book of Revelation which precede the second coming.

The rapture is not the day of our salvation (of the spirit), but the day of the redemption of our body (Romans 8:23 ).

Known as the .first resurrection (Revelation 20:6) , it is the day when the dead in Christ will rise, and the physical body of every believer in Christ who is alive at the time, will change in ”the twinkling of an eye” to become incorruptible and immortal. (1 Corinthians 15:52).

The Bible is very clear that the second coming of Christ is conditional, for it will not occur until after a series of . end-times events take place. On the other hand, there are certain scriptures which suggest the rapture could take place at any moment.

However, . although there is . a sense of immanency surrounding it, the ”day of Christ” is also conditional. Except two things transpire first, the day of Christ, . will . not come, according to the apostle Paul.

1: the anti-Christ will have made his presence known. 2: there will have been a departure, or falling away from the Christian faith.

2 Thessalonians 2:3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There are those who say ”the falling away” doesn’t mean an apostasy, as in a departure from the faith, but the departure of Christians from the earth, for it . refers to, they claim, the actual rapture itself.

Really? Apart from the fact the Greek word . apostasia means ”to defect or fall away”, it would be an impossibility for the rapture to take place prior to the day of Christ.

So, what might occur . to undermine the faith of many and cause an exodus from the Christian churches? Disillusionment and desertion in the face of hardship and danger? Possibly.

A full-frontal attack on the Book of Genesis, the foundational book of the Bible?

Although he was referring to the second coming, rather than the rapture, the apostle Peter warned how in the last days many of the mockers will be nominal believers of the Genesis creation.

Apart from unbelief, their greatest hurdle according to Peter, will be the rejection of the notion that the ancient world, or the inhabitable age which existed in the generation of the heavens and earth of old, was completely wiped out.

2 Peter 3:5. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

NASA have as good as admitted that Mars once had an environment capable of supporting life, but the planet has sustained catastrophic flood damage over the aeons. Although not officially admitted (yet), it’s almost certain the agency are aware of the existence of fossils . on Mars. And quite possibly, much more besides.

How will one fare without a firm understanding of the truth of the Biblical”gap” between ”the world that then was,” and this present world?

Whilst figures vary slightly, an estimated . 46% of American Christians believe the earth and the solar system were . created within the last 10,000 years.

From a young-earth creation viewpoint, a possible future disclosure that Mars was once inhabited will ”appear” to undermine the integrity of Genesis, and hence, give 46% of American Christians a bit of a headache.

A disclosure of such nature would also ”appear” to give a degree of credibility to those who believe life on earth, including modern-day man, were once seeded from Mars.

According to the Bible, the world prior to our own, was judged, and perished as a result. The evidence for that judgement of old is not only to be seen on Mars, but is scattered throughout the Solar System.

This present world, or the inhabitable age which began with Adam, .is somewhere around 5-6,000 years old, according to Bible chronology. It gives no indication whatsoever for the age of the earth, but suggests it to be extremely ancient.

The world as we know it, will end by the Word of God at the second coming. Those who believe in Jesus as Lord and saviour, will be delivered from the wrath to come, for they will be changed beforehand in the twinkling of an eye, on ”the day of Christ.”

WHO WILL YOU MEET?

The Apple of God’s Eye.

Amidst a vast sea of ruins, and on a rotating speck of dust we call earth, is an even smaller speck known as Israel, which contains a microdot called Jerusalem, and collectively, this nation, city, and people, are the apple of the Creator’s eye. (Zechariah 2:8.)

Is this world, or the age in which we live, the last frontier? The final bastion? The Bible strongly suggests this to be the case, for at the end of the ages, the heavens and the earth will be destroyed with fire, and every fallen individual who has ever dwelt in the cosmos, be he man, be he devil, or angel, will stand before the Great White Throne to be finally judged.

According to prophecy, “the apple of God’s eye” will become the focal point of the last war to take place this side of the millennial reign of Christ, and also the War of Gog and Magog, the final battle to be fought on this earth when Satan is released at the end of the thousand years.

Revelation 20:9. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Although not yet destroyed, death finally met its match on this small speck, a little over 2,000 years ago, and after millions or possible billions of years, hell-bent on destroying the creation of God, and feeding without pity, upon life.

The Creator of the Cosmos once arrived into our world to reveal the way to the Father, and to teach mankind about the Kingdom of God. But his enemies would have none of it, and condemned him to death.

He willingly died for the sins of the world, and achieved his mission nailed to the cross, which stood at the place of the skull, a small hill just outside the walls of the city which is the apple of God’s eye.

By his resurrection he not only conquered death, but he also defeated the god who held the power of death. From that very moment the gospel of Jesus Christ became the power of God to save, and by which all who’d believe would escape the wrath yet . to come, and receive the free gift of eternal life.

A Question of Timing.

2 Peter 3:10. But the DAY of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; IN THE WHICH the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:12. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

It can seem a little confusing, because when Peter recorded the future cosmic conflagration, it would almost appear that the earth and the heavens will be incinerated on the actual day of the Lord’s 2nd coming.

True, at his return it will be with a flaming fire of vengeance, (2 Thessalonians 1:8.) and the subterranean fires of earth will likely break through to the surface. But the earth cannot literally be burned up at this moment in time, for otherwise there would be no earth for Christ to reign upon.

For this reason, many believe the ”burning” refers to a spiritual cleansing, rather than literal fire. The problem is, the passage in question makes it pretty clear to be the literal destruction of the cosmos.

So what does it all mean? And how should we interpret it? The clue, I believe, is in the term ”the day of the Lord,” because as noted earlier, whilst it can refer to a particular day, ”the day of the Lord” generally refers to an extended period of time. And Peter has picked up on this, and sets the record straight.

2 Peter 3;8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The ”thousand years” which is mentioned six times in the Book of Revelation refers to the millennial reign of Christ, and which to the Lord of course, amounts to merely one day.

Seen from this perspective, ”the day of the Lord” refers not only to the return of the King of kings, but also to His entire one thousand year reign up to and including the final battle of Gog and Magog, when fire comes down from heaven. It’s at this time, or shortly after, when the profane creation flees from the presence of God.

Revelation 20:9. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Revelation 20:11. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

So whilst ”the day” of Christ’s return certainly comes as a thief in the night, (2 Peter 3:10) because it refers to an extended period of time, it’s also the day IN THE WHICH the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and……. the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The . same principle can be seen concerning the punishing of the ‘high ones,’ for whilst it comes to pass in ”that day,” it will also extend for the entire 1000 years.

Isaiah 24:21. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high…….

Revelation 20:7. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.

The Lake of Fire.

Jesus once told his disciples that an everlasting fire had been prepared for the devil and his angels, and issued dire warning that the cursed souls of men would be joining them there.

Matthew 25:41. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

So what is the lake of fire? Many presume that it’s hell, and Jesus did indeed speak of the unquenchable fires of hell. But there are two individual deaths, and it’s the ”first” death which delivers the lost souls of mankind to the prison of hell. However, because hell itself will one day be cast into the lake of fire, they cannot quite be one and the same.

I would suggest the lake of fire is prepared, just as Jesus said, but is not yet ignited. Way back in deep-time, when Lucifer first rebelled against God, and death entered the original cosmos, it triggered the entropy, an unstoppable chain of death and events which would ultimately ignite the fire. Science would call this ”the heat-death of the universe theory.”

The heat death of the universe is a historically suggested ultimate fate of the universe in which the universe has diminished to a state of no thermodynamic free energy and therefore can no longer sustain processes that consume energy (including computation and life).

From the moment God said, ”let there be light” (Genesis 1:3) the heavens and the earth were destined for a fiery destruction.(2Peter3:12).

But Life conquered Death at the cross of Christ, and the lake of fire, which is the second death, has absolutely no power over those who are part of the first resurrection..

Revelation 20:6. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power……

But the second death does have all power to destroy every last enemy of Christ, the Devil and his angels, the unclean spirits, and ultimately hell and death itself.

1 Corinthians 15:26. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

At the end of the ages hell will give up its dead to stand before God in judgement, and for the totally lost there awaits a ”second” and final death.

Revelation 20:13-15. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

No longer in a host body, Jesus likened the unredeemed or unclean spirits of man, to worms in an unquenchable fire.

Revelation 20:15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Mark 9:44. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

If taken literally, the Bible describes a fiery and total destruction of this present heavens and earth. It records the everlasting destruction of every . enemy of Christ, including death and hell. But nowhere does it record the destruction of the bottomless pit. Why?

Because the bottomless pit, the deep, and the universe are all one and the same. Hence the heavens, aka the bottomless pit, will ignite to become the future lake of fire.

The entire physical creation is governed by . the ”law of entropy,” and therefore is profane and . subject to death. It is war-torn, and battle-scarred, and all things profane will ultimately be destroyed in everlasting fire.

2 Peter 3 makes a clear distinction between the former and the present generation of the heavens and earth. In the old generation it was the habitable age and its inhabitants, aka ”the world” which perished, not the actual heavens and the earth. But this time around, not only will this world perish, but the heavens and the earth themselves will be destroyed by fire.

2 Peter 3:12. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

God the Judge, or God the Father?

Who will you meet? God the judge, or God the Father who judges no man? If you’re sinless, and NOT subject to death, then of course, you have nothing to be concerned about. Joke!

Just as the angels are immortal and indestructible, so too are the spirits of once-born men, and that creates a massive universal problem. The natural spirit of man born of water (the womb), is degenerate, or unclean, and unless regenerated, or born again of the Spirit, such spirits cannot return to the Father, and enter the kingdom of God. Logic demands they have to go somewhere, but where?

That is the problem, and because there’s nowhere else for them to go, they .will . finally join Satan and the rebel forces of angels, and will remain in the everlasting fire of this ”bottomless pit.”

Is this God’s desire? that man should perish in such manner? Absolutely not. He gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. But if man refuses to believe, what else can God possibly do about it? Whilst no man has ever died unloved by Him, all men have sinned and are subject to death, and hence, come short of the glory of God.

But Jesus Christ kept the commandments of God, on man’s behalf, and suffered punishment, death and hell as a result.

God has since stopped ”winking,” and now has one commandment, and one alone for mankind. Repent! and believe the gospel.

Acts 17:30. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

I’ve heard many times that only one road leads to God, but that’s not strictly true. According to the Bible, all men regardless of race, religion, or creed, have an inescapable appointment with death, beyond which awaits the judgement of God. Therefore ALL roads lead to God.

But one Way and one Way alone, will guide the spirit of the prodigal son through the valley of the shadow of death and into the loving arms and safe-keeping of Father. For the Father will judge NO man.

Hebrews 9:27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 14:6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 5:22. For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.

1 Corinthians 2:9. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Revelation 21:4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

2 Peter 3:13.Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21:1. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

THE BIBLE.

The Bible.

There are many who believe the Bible to contain a code, but a code so incredibly complex, that according to Michael Drosnin, author of the best-seller, The Bible Code;

Every scientist, every mathematician and physicist who understands the code, agrees that not even the fastest super-computers we have today-not all the Crays in the war room of the Pentagon, or all of the main-frames at IBM, not all of the computers now in the world working together-could have encoded the Bible in the way it was done 3000 years ago.

The author explains why the only possible explanation for how a code of such complexity could ever have . been encrypted into the Bible in the first place, is if it were accomplished instantaneously. In other words, although he didn’t quite get round to saying it, none apart from God himself could have put it there.

Personally, I have no idea if such a code even exists, but let’s just say that if it does, I for one, wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised. On every level, the Bible is a Supernatural book, and the Supernatural Author is full of surprises.

To be more precise, the Bible, or word of God, is of extra-terrestrial origin and outlines human history from its concept to its final end. But it also records how the world of mankind has been corrupted by, and is constantly influenced by an hostile extra-terrestrial presence.

However, and regardless of whether or not it contains a code, the Bible was given for the benefit of man, and given in a format by which man is both able to read and to understand.

The Bible explains why things are in the sorry state that they are, why there is death, and why each of us must eventually face it.

But it also gives reason as to why we are here in the first place, and gives direction for each to discover the Way, the Truth, and the Life, by which to return home to the Father.

For it’s an unfolding revelation of the one who is love, the most glorious, and the most powerful person ever imaginable, and yet one who is way beyond the boundary of the imagination. He is unsearchable, yet can be sought after and found. No man can see Him and live, yet men have seen him and lived. No man can see his face, yet we will see him face to face. He is the Word who was with God in the beginning, and who was God. He is the Creator of life, and the destroyer of worlds.

He emptied himself of his glory in a way we cannot comprehend, to become flesh, and to dwell amongst men. As a man, he was unlike all other men, for he was born of a virgin, and remained without sin. As a sinless man, but one acquainted with grief, he permitted himself to be led like a lamb to the slaughter, and all for the sake of other men’s sin.

He defeated Death and the Devil before rising from the dead, and returned to the glory from whence he came. He is the Word of God, and whilst impossible for us to understand “the mechanics,” the Word as the Person, can NOT be separated from the Word as it is written.

God is so jealous for his truth, that he has magnified his WORD above all his name, and his word is TRUTH.

Psalms 138:2. I will….. praise thy name for thy…. truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Am I suggesting then, that He is words written in ink on paper? Not at all. But those words on paper are the Truth, and when the Word became flesh, and dwelt amongst men, one of the many claims that he made, was, “I am the Truth.”

There are countless things which are true, both within the Scripture and without, but there can be no such thing as a penultimate truth, and there can only be the one ultimate TRUTH.

If you love the the truth of the Word found in the Scriptures, then you love the Lord Jesus Christ. It is as simple and yet as profound as that, for they are completely inseparable.

So, why should God give mankind a book which is an unfolding revelation of this all-wondrous, all-powerful Person?

It’s all too easy for us in the 21st Century, with the complete word of God in a single volume, and the countless Bible commentaries, reference works, and study guides which are available, to sit back and castigate, the by far larger majority of the Jewish people for not recognizing their Messiah when he came unto his own.

It’s highly unlikely that the average person in Jesus day, owned the complete set of Scriptures, and at best probably had no more than an armful of carefully hand-copied scrolls.

Much of the truth contained within the Word of God, as it was given to Moses, and the prophets who were to come after him, was a concealed truth, a truth which could only be understood and realised by way of revelation. It would would remain concealed right up until the time of John the Baptist, for his ministry of repentance and water baptism, brought about the closure of the OT age.

Mysteries revealed.

The word ”mystery” is strictly a New Testament term, because whilst the secrets of God are concealed within the OT, the truth concerning them is only revealed in his Son. Therefore, without the revelation contained within the NT, the greatest Hebrew scholar in the world is unable to grasp a true understanding of much of the Old Testament..

During the few short years of the ministry of Jesus Christ, the age of the Law and the Prophets would be completed, and over for good, for all the righteousness of God was fulfilled in Him.

Out of all the billions of men and women who have ever walked upon the face of the earth since Adam, one Man, and one man alone, has been able to keep the commandments of God, and keep them to the perfect standard required by God.

Not only was God perfectly satisfied, because one man had finally kept them, and kept them in full, he was now completely justified for having issued the 10 commandments to man in the first place. Yet at this point in time, none realised that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God’s plan of redemption was unfolding, and to such an extent it would embrace all the nations of the world.

Jesus once informed his audience, that unless they came to realise just who it was that the law and the prophets pointed to and testified of, they could search the OT scriptures as much as they liked, but would not find eternal life by doing so.

John 5:39-40. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

This baffled the crowd however, particularly the spiritual leaders of Israel, and yet they understood perfectly well that by claiming to be the Son of God, Jesus had made himself equal with God. Although they were spot-on with their understanding, without divine revelation, the concept of ”God in the flesh” remained a complete mystery to them, and therefore were unable to take it to heart and . accept it as truth.

Hence, they had no alternative but to accuse Jesus of blasphemy, which according to the Law of Moses, was a sin punishable by death.

John 5:18. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he…… said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

On another occasion, a group of Sadducees, one of the three main political and religious movements, (and one who actually didn’t believe the doctrine of resurrection), attempted to catch Jesus out by posing what they considered to be a trick question concerning marriage in the afterlife.

In reply, Jesus effectively told them they were in error, and knew neither the scriptures nor the power of God, for if they did, they should know that those resurrected would be like the angels of God, and hence no marriage would take place in the resurrection.

Matthew 22:29-30. Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Therefore, according to Jesus, it should be possible to gain such insight by reasoning from the Old Testament, but I would challenge anybody to find it.

He then went on to quote from Exodus 3:6, and in so doing, revealed a truth concerning death and eternal life. Although the individual death of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, is each recorded, the three persons are still very much alive and well, and God is still their God.

Matthew 22:31-32. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?God is NOT the God of the dead, BUT of the living.

Without this and other revelation of truth given in the New Testament, would we be able to discern these things purely from reading the Old? I know I wouldn’t.

The Divinity of Jesus Christ, his purpose and mission, and the fact that it was he who created all things, both the visible and the invisible, is an unfolding revelation throughout the NT. He didn’t gradually evolve to become Lord and saviour during his time here on earth, but was already the Lord and a saviour from the day he entered this world.

Luke 2:11. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Whilst alluded to time and again, the term ”kingdom of heaven” and ”. kingdom of God” cannot be found anywhere in the OT, for these were also a mystery which God had kept secret from the beginning of the world.

1 Corinthians 2:7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Even now, Jesus spoke of the ”kingdom” by way of parables, and which his disciples could only understand once he’d explained their true meaning. Others heard the parable, but remained clueless as to theit true spiritual meaning.

Mark 4:11. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

The Incarnation.

That the Word who was God would become .God in the flesh, was also a mystery kept secret since the beginning of the world.

According to the apostle Paul, even though he . was in the form of God, and equal with God, Jesus didn’t consider it to be a theft, but instead made himself of no reputation, became a man, and took on the role of a servant. Philippians,2:6-7. KJB(paraphrased).

Other versions read that; ”he emptied himself,” which perhaps gives more clarity to the passage. Although he was God, he ”emptied himself” before leaving heaven, to be born on earth as a man.

It is my personal understanding that just as you and I enter this world with no former memory, neither did Jesus have any recollection of his former glory, nor of his incarnation. But the truth of who he actually was, and how his arrival would be by way of a virgin, had already been recorded over the preceding centuries by Moses and the prophets.

With over 400 prophecies in the Old Testament which point to the coming Messiah and to His life and death, the truth as to who exactly Jesus was, and his purpose for being born into the world, had long since been recorded.

Little is written concerning his childhood years, although certainly by the age of twelve, Jesus knew exactly who his true Father was, and was already astounding his peers with his understanding of the Scriptures.

From Luke 2:42-49..And when he was twelve years old,….. the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. And….. after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

His mother and Joseph must have been frantic with worry the three days Jesus had been missing, but when questioned by his mother, Jesus replied; How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

The account goes on to say, that although neither Joseph or Mary understood the meaning of his words, his mother kept them within her heart.

Luke 2:50-51. And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

As highly favoured and blessed as she was amongst women, even the Lord’s own mother at that time was spiritually blind to the deeper aspect of truth.

Spiritual blindness.

Paul the apostle would later explain how due to a spiritual heart condition, (common to all mankind), a form of ”blindness” affected the minds of the Jewish people. This condition couldn’t be dealt with purely by reading the Old Testament, and could only be resolved when the ”inner man,” or the very heart of a person, would fully accept that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

From 2 Corinthians 3:14. But their minds were blinded: for …. even unto this day, when Moses[ is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

There is something dormant within man, which Paul describes as . ”another law,” that not only enables Satan to keep man blind to God’s truth, but also makes it extremely hard for a man to resist temptation.

Romans 7:23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

The world into which we’ve been born, is a spiritual war-zone, in which the souls of men are at stake, and time and again, the battle is fought over the human mind. It’s not easy to understand just how ”spiritual blindness” operates, for it’s as though a supernatural power prevents the natural intellect from being able to perceive spiritual truth.

Neither is it easy to understand why the Lord God Almighty should allow the god of this world, Satan, to hold unbelievers in a type of spiritual bondage, and keep them ”blind” to the truth of the gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:4. In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

On the other hand, whilst faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and his resurrection from the dead, unites all individual believers, Satan is still able to blind each one of us to certain other aspects of Biblical truth.

Revelation.

At times over the course of his ministry, Jesus said or done something, and the veil was lifted, to bring forth the flash of divine revelation to the people, yet ”the lifting” remained only partial. A week prior to his death and resurrection, on the day which we refer to as ”Palm Sunday,” Jesus fulfilled Zechariah’s prophecy by entering into Jerusalem astride a donkey. Although completely unaware of the events still to come, the realization came upon the crowd that this was the promised Messiah.

Mark 11:9. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

But perhaps the clearest example of Divine revelation can be seen when Peter was asked who he truly believed his master to be. Once he’d replied, Jesus explained to his disciple that whilst he’d been able to give the correct answer, it was only because the answer had been revealed to him..

Matthew 16:16-17. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

But Jesus knew precisely who his true Father was, and how he was working on his Father’s behalf, and although he endured temptation to a degree we can’t imagine, he refused to give an inch. For he was pure and without sin, and there was not ”another law” within him that Satan could utilize.

John 14:30. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

I believe Jesus, as a man, became aware of who he really was, and who his true Father was by way of revelation from reading the Scriptures. He also understood the mission for which he had come into the world to accomplish, and the pain and the suffering which was set out before him. After his resurrection he made this quite clear to his disciples.

Luke 24:27. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luke 24:44. And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

With the completion of the four gospels, and particularly the special revelation given to Paul and John, of the mystery of previous undisclosed truths, within the space of seventy or so years after his resurrection, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the written Word of God for mankind, was fully and finally established.

Romans 16:25. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

We possibly at times, take for granted, and underestimate the privilege we’ve been given, for to this day, the finest Hebrew scholar in the world, cannot fully understand the truth concealed within the Old Testament, without the revelation given in the New Testament.

The King of Kings.

Jesus once spoke a parable concerning man’s attitude toward him, and how he would deal with it when he returned as the King of kings. He likened himself to a nobleman who would travel to a far country to receive a kingdom, and to return. During his absence his servants were to take care of his affairs, and at his return would be rewarded, or not, depending upon their faithfulness. With many of the citizens however, it was a different story altogether.

Luke 19:14. But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Luke 19:27. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

At his return, he will come as the Word of God in all his glory, not with the name Jesus, but with a name unknown to man.

Revelation 19:12-13. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Revelation 19:3. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Revelation 19:16.And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Because he knows full well it’s impossible for any other man to keep THE 10 commandments, God has made it easy. He now has ONE commandment for all; believe in my Son and REPENT.

Acts 17:30   And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

A Brief But Biblical History In Time.

The Rise of the Nephilim.

The Bible is relatively silent regarding the events which took place during the 1650 or so years prior to Noah’s Flood. Although a double curse was resting upon the earth as a consequence of both Adam’s transgression and that of the murder committed by Cain, for a few generations beyond Adam, man’s existence was still measured by centuries.

From Scripture we know that mankind had been promised a future Messiah, ”the seed of the woman,” and that Adam’s immediate descendants began to hunt, and to farm the land and keep livestock..Others worked with metals, whilst some became makers of musical instruments. We know too that there came a time when men began to call on the name of the Lord, and present gift-offerings to him. We know that Noah was warned of the impending flood one hundred years beforehand, and that Enoch had prophesied of the ungodly condition of mankind in the last days, and foretold of the 2nd coming of Christ.

Jude 1:14. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.

Interestingly, according to the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, Adam had predicted two future destructions, one caused by water, the other by fire, and in order to preserve a ”peculiar” knowledge, had recorded it on two individual pillars.

They also were the inventors of that peculiar sort of wisdom which is concerned with the heavenly bodies, and their order. And that their inventions might not be lost before they were sufficiently known, upon Adam’s prediction that the world was to be destroyed at one time by the force of fire, and at another time by the violence and quantity of water, they made two pillars, the one of brick, the other of stone: they inscribed their discoveries on them both, that in case the pillar of brick should be destroyed by the flood, the pillar of stone might remain, and exhibit those discoveries to mankind; and also inform them that there was another pillar of brick erected by them. Now this remains in the land of Siriad to this day.(Antiquities of the Jews, p.19; translated by William Whiston).

Other sources attribute the twin pillars or tablets of knowledge to Enoch, and allege the ”wisdom” inscribed on them had originally been given to mankind by the ”Watchers,” a particular group of angels, which are mentioned by Daniel the prophet.

In Freemasonry, the Royal Arch degree was originally known as the Holy Royal Arch of Enoch, and the original source of the mysterious pillars in Craft Masonry predate the pillars of Solomon’s Temple, for they were based on the Pillars of Jabal.

The Cooke Manuscript, a Masonic document dated 1410, states;

And these four brethren knew that God would take vengeance for sin, either by fire or water. And they were much concerned how to save the sciences they had discovered, and they took counsel together and exercised all their wits. And they said there were two kinds of stone of such virtue that the one would not burn, called marble, and the other named “Lacerus” would not sink in water. And so they devised to write all the sciences they had found on these two stones, so that if God took vengeance by fire the marble would not burn, and if by water the other would not drown, and they besought their elder brother Jabal to make two pillars of these two stones, that is of marble and of “Lacerus,” and to write on the two pillars all the sciences and crafts which they had found and he did so. And therefore we may say that he was the wisest in science, for he first began and carried out their purpose before Noah’s flood. (p.4, translated by George William Speth).

But during that period of time another invasion took place, when a company of fallen angels infiltrated the world. According to the Book of Jude, these angels ”kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation,” so apparently, they had the ability to adopt other forms, and it would seem that they entered this world in human-form.

Man had already been spiritually corrupted due to the workings of Satan, but this time the aim was to corrupt the genetics of ”man made in the image of God,” by producing offspring with human women. The most likely reason for this was an attempt to corrupt the blood-line in order to prevent the arrival of the future Messiah, the promised ”seed of the woman.”

Although referred to as men, this antediluvian hybrid race were men of a completely different character. Recorded as being the mighty men of renown, the heroes of old, the genetics of their fallen angelic parentage made them super-sized people.

Genesis 6:4. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Whilst personally I do not believe it to be the inspired, authoritative Word of God, the mysterious and apocryphal Book of Enoch enlarges on the time of the giants, and states:

And they took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in to them, and mixed with them, and taught them charms and conjurations, and made them acquainted with the cutting of roots and of woods. And they became pregnant and brought forth great giants whose stature was three thousand ells. These devoured all the acquisitions of mankind till men were unable to sustain themselves. And the giants turned themselves against mankind in order to devour them. (Enoch 7:1-4).

The idea of angels sleeping with women and having kids is not something that all Christians agree upon, know about or even are comfortable with. But although there is an alternative view, as to the meaning of Genesis 6:1-4, the fallen angel understanding is almost certainly the correct one.

Ancient Greek and Roman mythology is based upon the legends of ”demigods,” the titans or legendary heroes who were part god, and there seems little doubt the Nephilim were the source of those “myths.” These were the ‘men of renown,’ the giants who possessed superhuman ability and strength.

This Satanic attempt to infiltrate and corrupt the DNA structure of man almost succeeded, for all flesh had become corrupt. But the blood-line from Adam to Noah via Seth, had not been tainted by the rogue ”gene” and because it was perfect in its generations, by the grace of God it survived the impending flood.

Genesis 6:12. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Genesis 6:8-9. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

The Flood wiped out all air-breathing life from the planet, and only the obscene, perverse marriage of fallen angels with human females would seem to justify such a harsh judgement.

Post-Flood Giants.

Apparently, a similar incursion took place after the flood, for although the original giants were destroyed in the deluge, by the time of Moses and Joshua, the Nephilim had once again made inroads into society.

Numbers 13:33. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Whether or not the post-flood giants appeared on the scene due to the direct interaction of rebel angels with human women is unclear, but unlikely. Some suspect that whilst Noah’s son Ham, and his two brothers, were uncorrupted, the same could not be said of Ham’s wife. Her mother it’s suggested, was the human grand-daughter of a Nephilim-giant, and still carried the hereditary gene.

If such were the case, then it was Ham’s offspring who initiated the rise of the post-flood giants. Being descendants of Noah, each had a human spirit, and whilst many are recorded as being tall in stature, it would seem they lacked the supernatural ability and the might of the original Nephilim.

By the grace of God, the unblemished blood-line survived the flood, to continue via Shem, one of Noah’s three sons, down through the generations to Abraham, and on through to King David, and would ultimately lead to Mary, the virgin mother of Jesus Christ.

Although Mary was of this unblemished genealogy, because he was the only-begotten Son of God, the blood in Jesus veins came directly from God the Father. As the Son of God, the blood of the Lamb was as precious as it was unique, for it was God’s own blood.

But as the son of man(son of David) his lineage is traced all the way back, via king David to Adam, the only-created son of God. (Luke 3:8.)

For the first and only time in the entire course of human history, a man-child was conceived without sin, and was born of water, but not born subject to death. Hence out of all men, Jesus alone, had no need to be ”born again.”

From the very outset, an extra-terrestrial army, the forces of evil, were determined to destroy the new-born ”seed of the woman,” but by employing weapons designed to influence the hearts and the minds of those like king Herod, and by using the hands of wicked men to do so.

Finally, and once he’d fulfilled his ministry on earth, Jesus, the man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, allowed himself to be led as a lamb to the slaughter, and the blood of the Lamb, the most unique substance in the entire Universe, was shed for many for the remission of sins.

It was not the enemy’s finest hour.

The Rise of the Beast.

The Ark, which had been constructed back in the age of the giants, finally settled upon dry land in the mountains of Ararat. It had safely transported Noah and his family from the old age, and now, they stepped into a new one. It was still the same world, for the world which ”God so loved,” began with the creation of Adam, and although it almost perished, will endure until the 2nd coming of Christ, who will establish “the world to come,” generally referred to as the millennial reign of Christ.

The Spirit of God, had moved upon the face of the waters, back when the earth was yet without form and void, and long before the age of the giants. He had declared light into the darkness, and at the end of the creation week had declared all to be ”very good.”

But the darkness had seeped back into God’s creation once more, and the rise of the beast, in the form of the Nephilim, had almost prevailed. Now that the original giants and the ungodly had been wiped from the face of the earth, the Spirit of God, symbolized in the form of a dove, returned unto Noah, and offered him a freshly plucked olive leaf.

Genesis 8:11. And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: …

. Now God made a covenant promise never again to destroy all flesh with water, and to this day, the token of that covenant can still be seen in the form of a rainbow.

Genesis 9:13. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

However, Noah had previously released another bird into the new age, and this one, a raven, went forth to and fro, and had never returned. In stark contrast to the dove and the olive leaf, both symbols of victory, peace and hope, the raven is symbolic of ill-omen, and in many cultures, is associated with the dead.

Genesis 8:7. And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.

Job 1:7. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

The raven released from the ark into the new age, is symbolic of Satan and death, for the battle between good and evil is a continual one, spilling over from one age and into the next.

Nevertheless, it took little time at all for the worship of other gods to be reinstated, and many of the later cultures and nations would eventually pay tribute to a plethora of strange gods. Some were an attempt to deify human beings, whilst others were mythological, but it’s likely each had their root in one or more of the extra-terrestrial entities who’d sought to corrupt mankind back in the antediluvian world.

The Rise of the Nations.

There’s no mention in Genesis of God making multiple seas on Earth, only that he . gathered the waters into one place and caused the dry land to appear.

Genesis 1:9. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Scripture indicates that the habitable Earth was originally one huge landmass, with four major rivers, and surrounded by ocean. The first individual sea to be mentioned by name, is the Salt Sea in Genesis 14:3. Not only is this well after the Flood, but also after an event which divided the earth.

Things changed dramatically post-flood, in ways we can barely imagine. The relationship between antediluvian man and the animal kingdom, was now gone forever, because the fear of man had arisen in the heart of both bird and beast.

Genesis 9:2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

There’s every indication that it had never rained prior to the time of the Flood, but now the ground would no longer be watered by an early morning mist, and one must assume the climate changed dramatically. It most likely contributed to the harsh extremes of weather . and temperature we have today, which in turn would cause the need for variations in skin-tone.

Likewise, it would be quite illogical to believe the topography of the earth’s surface remained unchanged by the massive upheaval of a global Flood. The Earth slowly began to repopulate, but even one hundred years or so later, there were still no different dialects, for all spoke the same common language.

Genesis 11:1. And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

It’s not known for certain who oversaw the building of the city and tower of Babel, although it’s generally attributed to Nimrod, the great-grandson of Noah. Whoever they were, the builders were sons of men, and not the post-flood progeny of the sons of God, as some have claimed.

Genesis 11:5. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

It was somewhere around 2250 BC, or 1750 years from the creation of Adam, when God confused the tongues of men. This gave rise to multiple languages, and caused so much confusion amongst the various new language groups, that they were unable to complete the building work, and migrated from Babel in every direction.

From Genesis 11:7-9. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech..-- and from thence[Babel] did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Continental Drift?

Some while after this mass migration, at around 2190 BC, an individual named Peleg is mentioned, in whose day, ”the earth was divided.” Names are very important, and probably every name in Scripture has either a historic, a symbolic, or a spiritual significance. Often the personal names are inseparably bound up with the narrative, and it frequently happens that the meaning of a proper noun is a key to an important passage in Scripture. The given meaning of Peleg in . Strongs Hebrew Dictionary, is earthquake.

Genesis 10:25. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided….

The Bible makes it quite clear how it was the earth which was divided and not . the nations, and only an earthquake can do such a thing. This major earthquake was in all likelihood triggered by the massive upheaval caused by the earlier flood.

Abraham Ortelius ( 14 April 1527 – 28 June 1598) is generally recognized as the creator of the first modern world atlas, and is believed to be the first person to imagine that the continents were joined together before drifting to their present positions

In his work Thesaurus Geographicus, Ortelius suggested that the Americas were “torn away from Europe and Africa … by earthquakes and floods,” and continues with; “The vestiges of the rupture reveal themselves, if someone brings forward a map of the world and considers carefully the coasts of the three [continents].”

During the 1960’s geophysical and geological evidence for sea-floor spreading at mid-oceanic ridges became increasingly compelling to geologists and finally continental drift was established as an ongoing global mechanism. After more than three centuries, Ortelius’s supposition of continental drift was proven correct.

Personally, when it comes to geology or any other form of ‘ology’ I know next to nothing, and I’m sure the experts would claim the process of continental drift to take tens or hundreds of thousand years. However, if the Biblical account is trustworthy, and at least one male and one female of each species of air-breathing animal boarded the ark, then how were they able to arrive at the ark, and return back to their homeland after the flood? Noah didn’t sail the ”high seas,” picking up his passengers en-route, nor did he ferry them back to their native homeland afterwards.

Reason and logic demand that the pre-flood continents must have been connected, even if only by land-bridges, and that those same bridges still existed after the flood and remained intact until the earth was ”divided. Whilst some might find the thought ”hard to swallow,” the positioning of the continents as they are today, is probably a far more recent event than we realise.

Noah and his three sons spent one hundred or so years building the ark, and there there was an additional period of one hundred years . . after the flood-waters had subsided, but . prior to the earthquake which divided the earth. Assuming a travel-rate of just eight miles per month, this would allow plenty of time for each animal species to gradually arrive from present-day Australia, for example, and return to their homeland after.

God established the individual language groups at Babel, and each tribe had the better part of ten decades to traverse the earth before the time of the earthquake which divided the present-day continents.

Seen this way, and if taken literally, the Bible provides a perfectly logical explanation as to how the . nations and languages arose from the first man and woman, and why Eve can be referred to as ”the mother of all living.”

Genesis 3:20. And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Creatio ex nihilo or creatio ex materia.

Creatio ex nihilo or creatio ex materia.

Genesis 1:1. In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the earth.

Colossians 1:16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.

When God creates a new thing, it’s spoken into existence, and from . out of . nothing but the power of the Word of God. But when he ”makes” a thing, he does so from the pre-existing material which had . been created back ”in the beginning.”

The Hebrew word ”Bara”(create) in Genesis 1:1 is unique, for although the word is used 45 times in the O T, it’s always exclusive to God. It has a sense of perfection and completeness, and whilst man is creative, and able to make, form, or shape a thing, unlike God, it is impossible for man to create anything. He can only make use of the building material which God created in the beginning.

On the other hand, the Book of Exodus clearly states that God ”made” the heavens and the earth.

Exodus 20:11. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day…..

Whilst the Hebrew word aw-saw’ has many applications and multiple meanings, ranging from ”to do or to make,” to ”to furnish or to gather,” by dictionary definition it can never mean to ”create.”

We need to understand that the six days of Genesis do not refer to ”in the beginning,” but to a point in time, AFTER the cosmos of old had perished. The six days do not describe the ”creation of the earth,” but the restoration, ”the foundation of the world.”

Building material.

Even though Adam, as a living soul, was created in the image of God, his physical host body was formed out of pre-existing material.

Genesis 2:7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

According to Dalton’s Atomic Theory, all matter consists of indivisible particles called atoms. Atoms cannot be created [except by God] and cannot be destroyed. The law of the ”conservation of energy” states that energy is not created or destroyed, it just changes forms.

As our body develops and grows, it is not by creating new atoms, but by drawing pre-existing atoms in the form of energy, from our surroundings, from the food which we eat, to the very air that we breathe. When we die, our physical body returns to the dust, but just like the human spirit, the atoms themselves, cannot be destroyed.

Maybe you and I are 40-50 years old, but the atoms of which we . consist, were originally created in the beginning. Even from a Young Earth Creationist(YEC) view-point, 6,500 years is a pretty long gap.

The spirits.

Chronologically speaking, the creation of the spirits must have taken place at some point between the two ”beginnings” of John 1:1 and Genesis 1:1, because as mentioned earlier, according to the Book of Job, the sons of God, the morning stars, already existed and . both witnessed and celebrated when God established the foundations of the earth.

John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

From Job 38:4-7. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?….When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Genesis 1:1. In the beginning, God created the Heaven and the earth.

But what of our spirit? The true person contained within the physical host body? Just as the angels are immortal, so too is the spirit of man. But none are eternal, as God is eternal, for each had a beginning. When did God create all things, both the visible and the invisible?

That's right! In the beginning!

Am I advocating reincarnation? Absolutely not, for the body which contains the spirit, is once-born of water, and we enter this world as a living soul. We each have one life here, and one appointment with death, beyond which lies the judgement.

Hebrews 9:27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

One of the reasons why the doctrine of predestination is so unpopular in modern Christianity is because most Christians today assume that the soul/spirit is created at birth. On the contrary, the Bible teaches that the true person, or the spirit, pre-existed our arrival into this world.

I’m not a theologian, so far be it from me to attempt to expound on these doctrines, but as a Bible believer, who can deny we were known by God, and chosen in Christ before ”the foundation of the world.”

Ephesians 1:4. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

To some, the idea of predestination is a prickly topic, and is one of the reasons why the King James Bible is shunned by so many,  but if the following verse is taken at face value, Jeremiah was known by God and ordained to be a prophet even prior to his conception.

Jeremiah 1:5. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Likewise Scripture would suggest that the . reason for some not believing the gospel, is because they’d not been ordained to eternal life.

Acts 13:48. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

If the verse were to state that ”as many as believed were ordained to eternal life,” then faith,or belief has to be officially established before one can be ordained. But it doesn’t. Those who believed were ordained to eternal life, or officially established, prior to believing the gospel.

As said before, ”a prickly topic.”

Are Lucifer and Satan one and the same?

Lucifer, Satan, the Devil.

The question has often been asked as to whether Satan and Lucifer are both one and the same person? Although there is no actual verse that states Satan to be Lucifer, nor that a third of the angels followed him in his rebellion against God, when reasoning from Scripture it leads us to those conclusions.

Lucifer.

According to Hebrew scholars, the precise grammar of Genesis 1:1 describes the original creation as being both absolute and perfect. Biblical perfection requires something to be flawless, or of impeccable quality, and from the time of his creation until he became overtaken by pride and self-love, Lucifer the Anointed Cherub is described as being perfect in his ways.

Ezekiel 28:11-15. Thou [Lucifer] wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

How long he remained in that perfect state is unknown, but it certainly didn’t last, and due to his rebellion against God, he eventually lost his privilege and authority from amongst the stones of fire. Although he was ”destroyed” from that position, the Hebrew word doesn’t mean destroy as to ‘kill,’ but portrays a sense of loss and failure, with no way out.

Ezekiel 28:16. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Apparently he was known by the same name for the entire duration of the previous world, for as Lucifer, he was the one who was charged as being responsible for the old world becoming a wilderness.

From Isaiah 14:12-17. How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!….That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof……

The Bible is quite clear that death and decay are the inevitable result of sin and rebellion against a Holy God. Therefore corruption and entropy could not have existed in the beginning, and when the creation was still in the original state of perfection. Whatever may of happened, it’s made clear that the actions of Lucifer were the result of a wilful abuse of the authority which he’d been given. It would seem too, that once that choice had been made, it could never be retracted, and would determine his ultimate destiny, as well as that of the angels who’d chosen to follow him.

The final destruction of Lucifer and his angels, will not come about due to a whimsical or vindictive decision by God, but as a result of his own actions. By an intentional misuse of the gifts he’d originally been given, Lucifer had overturned the order of all life in the Universe, and by so doing had authored his own destiny. An everlasting fire.

How long after the original creation had the angelic rebellion taken place, who can say? But there are numerous indicators which would place the fall of the Anointed Cherub, and the earliest instance of the struggle between life and death, way back in deep-time.

Life has to exist before it can die and leave behind fossilized remains, and according to geologypage.com:

Scientists analysing Australian rocks have discovered traces of bacteria that lived a record-breaking 3.49bn years ago, a mere 1bn years after Earth formed.

Satan.

Satan is called ‘the prince of this world’ by Christ, (John 12:31)and ‘the god of this world’ by Paul. (2 Corinthians 4:4.)

The Earth is the Lord’s although he gave it unto the children of men, but the world and its kingdoms were once delivered unto Satan.

When seeking to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, Satan offered him all the kingdoms of the world, which he claimed had been delivered unto him. Because Jesus neither challenged nor denied this claim, he effectively allowed the claim to stand.

From Luke 4:5-6. And the devil……..shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world…and… said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

When Jesus said of the devil, that he was a liar and murderer from the beginning, he wasn’t referring to the time of his creation, back in the previous world, for in the beginning he was perfect in his ways, and incapable of lying and murder.

John 8:44. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth ……for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Instead, Jesus was referring to the beginning of this present world, for it was Satan’s lie back in the garden of Eden which led to Adam’s disobedience, and which in turn permitted sin and death to enter the age, and to be inherited by all men.

Death had reigned back in the old world, as evidenced by the fossil record, and through Adam’s sin, death would now reign in this world. From that moment Satan held the power of death (Hebrews 2:14) and hence he effectively became the murderer of all men.

After he’d sinned, Adam was likened to the dust he’d been formed from, and told that death would reduce him back to the dust. Why? Because he who now held the power of death, was ordained to eat dust all the days of his life.

This is all quite figurative of course, for neither a snake nor the devil literally eat dust. But because the wages of sin is death, and because all men sin, then every man likened to dust, upon his death, has effectively been murdered, or devoured by the devil.

Genesis 2:7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground.

Genesis 3:19. for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:14. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this…..dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

1 Peter 5:8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

The god of this world was defeated by Christ at Calvary, and death, which could not hold onto a sinless man, lost it's grip and was conquered. But neither one nor the other of these two great enemies of man, will be destroyed until after the end of the ages, when the devil, hell, and death will each be cast into everlasting fire.
